To enrich employees' leisure activities, strengthen team cohesion, and foster closer ties with the client, the AFD Project of the Sri Lanka Branch successfully hosted its annual New Year cricket tournament. As a long-standing tradition, this event has become a highly anticipated platform for sports and cultural exchange, contributing to the development of corporate culture.
The tournament received enthusiastic participation from various teams, including the client, the branch office, project departments, and subcontractors, with a total of 10 teams competing. Players demonstrated teamwork, perseverance, and competitive spirit throughout the matches. After intense rounds, the "Iron Team," composed of on-site workers, claimed the championship, while the "Elite Team" from the branch office and the "Operators United" secured second and third places, respectively. Project leaders awarded trophies to the winners and encouraged all employees to carry forward the tournament’s fighting spirit into their daily work.
Beyond sports, the tournament strengthened workplace camaraderie and enhanced collaboration with stakeholders. Employees expressed their enthusiasm for integrating the values of teamwork and determination into their professional roles, contributing to project excellence and fostering closer China-Sri Lanka cooperation.
