To further enhance the safety awareness of site personnel and improve their emergency response and first aid capabilities, the Thambuttegama Water Supply Project organized a “Fire Drill and First Aid Training" activity on the morning of October 7, 2025. The training aimed to strengthen the practical skills and teamwork of site engineers and workers in emergency situations, and consisted of two parts: theoretical instruction and hands-on exercises.

During the theoretical session, the trainer systematically explained the fundamentals of fire safety, fire prevention measures, and emergency response procedures. The session emphasized the importance of “Safety Awareness – Risk Prevention – Rapid Action,” helping site engineers and workers establish a systematic understanding of safety management, strengthen scientific thinking, and enhance their ability to respond effectively to emergencies. This laid a solid foundation for improving the project’s overall safety management.

In the practical session, site engineers and workers operated different types of fire extinguishers and mastered the correct usage methods. The trainer also demonstrated first aid techniques and casualty transportation methods for different scenarios, based on actual site conditions, further improving their ability to respond swiftly and handle emergencies efficiently. This training significantly enhanced the safety awareness and emergency rescue capabilities of the site personnel, while further improving the project’s emergency management system. Going forward, the branch company will continue to carry out regular and institutionalized safety education and training, firmly strengthening the safety defense line and ensuring the smooth and secure implementation of project construction.
